The Coordinator Surgery Special Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, Plastic Surgery-Integrated Surgical Institute, is responsible for managing all scheduled and unscheduled procedures, admissions, and appointments. This role is crucial for maintaining unit organization and ensuring caregivers can provide exceptional patient care. Key duties include validating patient demographic and physician information, identifying patients needing financial counseling, triaging appointments, coordinating services, processing physician orders, ensuring data accuracy including CPT coding, and serving as a liaison with the admitting office. The coordinator also acts as a resource for department personnel and communicates with patients and families.
