Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this position is to support the leadership of the Carroll County Local Behavioral Health Authority (LBHA) in fulfilling responsibilities related to the local management of the Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS). This position will assist the LBHA in maintaining compliance with Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education:� �Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Experience: One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
• Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience conducting complaint investigations, facility inspections and compliance visits.
• Experience working with individuals who have behavioral health disorders and/or are experiencing homelessness.
• Experience working in public health and/or behavioral health.
• Experience with and/or knowledge of behavioral health and consumer support resources in the community.
• Experience working with governmental and community partners.
