McLane Foodservice in Rocky Mount, NC is seeking a Shipping Coordinator. You will handle outgoing shipments, inspect contents, and record paperwork to ensure orders match. Training other shippers is part of the role and you may ship outside the US contiguous border.

The position offers Sundays through Thursdays, 9:00am–5:30pm, with an hourly rate TBD and comprehensive benefits starting after 60 days, including health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance, plus a 401(k) plan after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years in a shipping department.
• 2+ years in a distribution environment.
• Experience shipping outside the US contiguous border is preferred.
• Strong math and documentation abilities.
• Solid organizational skills.
• Ability to investigate and resolve problems

Responsibilities

• Sends shipments and creates paperwork for outgoing deliveries.
• Inspects shipments to ensure they are not damaged.
• Verifies shipments per order requirements.

• Labels shipments prior to loading.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• The environment encompasses all areas of a Distribution Center, Transportation Department, or Transportation Shop.
• This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and components, and working in close to proximity to other teammates.
