Job summary

A community outreach organization in Winter Park, Florida, is seeking a part-time Coordinator to serve as an Outreach Liaison for youth and families. Summary of the Position

The Coordinator will be a positive Outreach Liaison to youth and family members in the community, building relationships to ensure the safety of youth and families and addressing behavior issues with a solution‑focused approach. The role includes flexible, face‑to‑face service hours with youth and families.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships to develop a plan that ensures the safety of youth and families, providing solution‑focused support for behavior issues.
  • Work closely with CPI’s to prevent youth from entering care, attend Diversion Staff meetings and court hearings, and connect youth and families with community resources and crisis stabilization providers.
  • Respond appropriately to cases with emergency needs and report all information immediately to the supervisor and diversion specialist to promote stabilization.
  • Help families identify resources or support persons needed beyond program discharge, encouraging the development of linkages.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of crisis stabilization experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
