Job summary

Van Drunen Farms is seeking a quality-focused professional to manage and execute the Positive Hold and Release program, ensuring ingredients and finished products meet established safety standards. You will coordinate analytical testing of materials, maintain testing schedules, review results, and communicate dispositions across departments.

A minimum of one year in quality/compliance or related fields is required; familiarity with agriculture or food manufacturing is preferred; MS Office

  • Experience in agriculture, food manufacturing, or QA-related fields preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail required.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across departments; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the Positive Hold and Release program to ensure safety and quality.
  • Coordinate analytical testing of raw materials and finished products for chemical, physical, and microbiological properties.
  • Maintain testing schedules, monitor lab lead times, and track analyses progress.
  • Review and interpret test results against specifications and quality requirements.
  • Communicate testing results and compliance information across departments.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding testing status, quality docs, and timelines.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and execute the Positive Hold and Release program to ensure ingredients and finished products meet established food safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate analytical testing of raw materials and finished products for chemical, physical, and microbiological properties.
  • Maintain testing schedules, monitor laboratory lead times, and track the progress of internal and external analyses.
  • Review and interpret analytical test results against product specifications and quality requirements.
  • Communicate testing results, product disposition decisions, and compliance-related information across departments.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding testing status, quality documentation, and analysis timelines.
What You’ll Bring
  • A minimum of one year of applicable quality, compliance, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience within agriculture, food manufacturing, dietary supplements, quality assurance, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking, critical problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
