What is the Opportunity?

Aecon’s Civil East sector is a cornerstone of our construction and infrastructure operations, delivering innovative solutions to some of the most complex and impactful projects globally. We are seeking a Project Coordinator who will report to the Project Manager and provide coordination and support to various aspects of operations to ensure the efficient and profitable execution of projects in St. Thomas/St. Croix.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Assist in the efficient scheduling of various work crews as required.
• Perform site previews and inspections as required in preparation for locate requests.
• Assist in inventory management, control and related systems development.
• Coordinate and procure specialty materials and tooling.
• Assist in small specialty tool inventory management, control, maintenance, and certification.
• Review and summarize weekly equipment utilization reports and correct misallocations.
• Track and maintain area‑specific worker training matrix.
• Assist in the acquisition of required safety and experience documentation from subcontractors.
• Develop an understanding of budgets, cost reports and revenue forecasts at the project level.
• Enter time, book travel and schedule weekly field personnel.
• Ensure and track the quality and frequency of safety inspection reporting is compliant with Aecon Health & Safety and Environmental Manual.
• Review, track, and summarize quality assurance non‑conformances and ensure appropriate training and follow‑up.
• Ensure the safe, organized status of materials and equipment.
• Receive, validate, off‑load, handle, and process related paperwork from vendors.
• Query, analyze, and report on data from various systems to assist in operational efficiency.
• Generate reports as necessary for major customers.
• Facilitate deliveries of rush materials or tooling to crews as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
• Strong communication skills – oral and written.
• Self‑motivated with good organizational skills.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with others as a team.
