Position Number: S71890

This position is a Grade: 7 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $37,190-$44,640 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Open and manage the Pride Center lounge daily, maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment — greeting and assisting all visitors and responding to inquiries about programs, services, and opportunities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings for the Director and Associate Director, maintaining inventory, submitting work orders, and coordinating with internal and external vendors
  • Support the planning and delivery of LGBTQ+ programs and events, coordinating logistics, contracts, catering, room reservations, and reimbursements, while assisting student staff with scheduling, timesheets, and hiring processes
  • Track and manage Pride Center budgets — compiling monthly expenditure reports, processing payments and transfers, resolving discrepancies in Banner, and monitoring student organization and fundraising budgets
  • Lead Pride Center communications, including producing the weekly newsletter, maintaining the website, managing social media, and creating flyers, graphics, and promotional materials for events and tabling
  • Build and maintain partnerships across campus and the wider community by serving on institutional committees, liaising with community partners, supporting alumni and donor communications, and contributing to broader Inclusive Excellence and Belonging (OIEB) initiatives and events
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to three years of work related experience
  • Experience in administrative coordination within higher education, student services, or a community-focused setting
  • Confidence managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and working within financial systems such as Banner
  • Strong digital communications skills including social media management, content creation, and website maintenance
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, identify process improvements, and follow through independently
  • A genuine service orientation — you take pride in creating spaces where every person feels seen, supported, and welcomed
