Job summary

HealthPartners is hiring a Patient Financial Services Operations Coordinator to support revenue cycle operations through workflow optimization, system build support, and regulatory and payer research. This remote, 1.0 FTE role partners with leadership and frontline teams to advance compliant processes and improve operational performance across service areas.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management or related field, or five years of healthcare experience.

Coordinator, Patient Financial Services Operations

HealthPartners is looking to hire a Patient Financial Services Operations Coordinator to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

The Patient Financial Services Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting revenue cycle operations through workflow optimization, system build support, operational documentation management, and regulatory and payer research. In partnership with leadership, frontline teams, and Compliance, this role advances efficient, compliant processes and supports initiatives designed to strengthen operational performance across all service areas.

Work Schedule:

Remote; 1.0 FTE/40 hours weekly - 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business/Finance Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent healthcare experience in areas such as care delivery, revenue cycle, financial analysis, or related functions.
  • In lieu of a degree, five (5) years of recent experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, medical insurance, and/or financial analysis may be considered.

    • Skilled in coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business/Finance Administration, or related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, six (6) or more years of recent experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, medical insurance, and/or financial analysis may be considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of working knowledge and hands-on experience with HealthPartners software and/or healthcare systems, including Epic modules (Cadence, Prelude, Resolute), OnBase, or comparable applications.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

  • Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) - Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) credential strongly preferred, demonstrating expertise in revenue cycle operations and financial management practices.
