Summary

The Parts Expediter manages the parts room and distribution of parts. Responsibilities include shipping and receiving of parts, updating transactional data in the system, transferring parts between resources, inputting all cycle count results into handheld and managing parts inventory. They recommend min/max levels for the parts room. The Parts expediter is responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly parts room. Travel to locations covered by them to ensure parts rooms and inventory is correct while ensuring the safety of our people, workplace and environment and meeting all company, legal and other requirements.

Responsibilities

• Creates purchase orders for outside labor assigned by Supervisor within CONA.
• Orders stock parts based upon usage and supervisor communication as well as CONA.
• Update status based upon physical location and status within CONA.
• Codes and submitted for approval all invoices received in IMS.
• Orders registration copies as needed using Insights (CRS) Custom remarketing services.
• Answer shop phone and assist with service calls.
• Order non-stock parts for planned work within CONA.
• Pickup and drop off mail and supplies as needed from main plant.
• Receive ordered parts from vendors and distribute as needed.Identify and distribute tolls and violations as received using CONA
• Order shop/office supplies
• Maintain licensing information by unit within CONA
• Submit new parts and new units additions within CONA to asset team
• Assist assigned shops with their quarterly parts inventories using CONA
• Assist assigned shops with bi-annual obsolescence reports for parts using CONA
• Travel to locations covered for inventory support.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting of 50+ pounds and climbing.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Mechanical or fleet shop knowledge is a plus.
• Other characteristics:
• Computer experience (SAP)(office) word, excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills
• 10-key by touch
• Self-motivated
• Willing to travel (local) facilities covered.
