Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Materials Management professional for the Brecksville Health Center to coordinate perioperative purchasing and inventory processes. The role focuses on ensuring operational effectiveness and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining the Materials Management Information System and supporting computer-assisted purchasing and patient charge systems across the department.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Sciences/Business or 4 years of combined procurement and/or materials management experience.
• Two years of experience in a materials management setting with knowledge of requisition to disposition and computerized purchasing/inventory systems.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong problem solving, mathematical and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

Location: BRECKSVILLE HEALTH CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 6pm-2:30am M-F, holidays as needed

Summary

Implements, coordinates and ensures operational effectiveness of all material management activities for the Perioperative Department. Coordinates computer assisted purchasing inventory and patient charge systems where appropriate. Monitors compliance with all safety, sanitation and quality control requirements. Assumes the responsibilities for maintaining the Materials Management Information System. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications

Required

• Associates Degree in Sciences/Business discipline (i.e. Business management, Surgical Technology, Purchasing, and Supply Management). In lieu of degree, 4 years of combined procurement and/or materials management experience.
• Two years of experience in a materials management setting with demonstrated knowledge of the material process flow from requisition to disposition AND familiarity with computerized activity for purchasing and inventory management.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Office

Preferred

• Healthcare materials management and procurement experience.
• Experience with Lawson.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience
• Graduate of an Operating Room Technician program.

Physical Requirements

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
