Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) offers 14 programs and services across 28 locations in Texas, Missouri, and Louisiana. Our goal is to provide children with permanent homes and enhance adult self-sufficiency, guided by “The PCHAS Way,” which emphasizes strength, family, and goal orientation with every client.

Working Conditions: The Coordinator of Volunteers works remotely, using their own computer, phone, and a PCHAS email. Must be outgoing, able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, lift 40 lbs., and have a flexible schedule. Mileage and meal reimbursements are provided for travel.
Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Manager of Volunteers in Austin, TX, this 10-hour/week role primarily recruits and trains volunteers to serve as “authorized volunteers,” completing background checks and training. It also recruits and trains volunteer groups for special events. Minimal travel is involved, and the employee must work from home, providing their own computer/laptop. Focus areas include recruiting volunteers in North Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Waxahachie, Itasca, and surrounding areas.

Experience volunteering or working with non-profits, reliable transportation, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with adults seeking to make a positive impact. Trustworthiness and confidentiality are essential.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, willingness to undergo background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening, and physical exams to confirm no communicable diseases.
