Base pay range

$40,000.00/yr - $45,000.00/yr

The Coordinator of Financial Aid reports to the Director of Financial Aid and supports the implementation and management of a comprehensive financial aid program, including scholarships, in accordance with federal, state, accreditation, and institutional regulations. Responsibilities include processing and managing financial aid and scholarship funds; advising students on available aid and scholarship options; identifying and resolving discrepancies; using financial aid software to manage applications and student records; and calculating student budgets.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education required: Associate's degree from an accredited institution in business or a related field.

Education preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, college student personnel, higher education, or related field.

Experience preferred: Experience in packaging and certifying financial aid awards, including scholarships, managing aid from Title IV funds, and working with financial aid systems.

Essential Functions & Position Duties

  • Annually determine required financial aid documentation from students and parents to complete aid and scholarship files and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in monitoring Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) for financial aid and scholarship recipients.
  • Conduct regular reviews of tax documentation for verification, dependency status, and professional judgment decisions.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to all students receiving financial aid, scholarships, or other financial assistance.
  • Counsel students and parents on all forms of financial assistance, including scholarships and financing options.
  • Award federal, state, institutional aid, and scholarships in compliance with applicable regulations and institutional policies.
  • Process private loan requests submitted by students or parents.
  • Attend financial aid conferences and trainings to stay current on Title IV regulations and scholarship administration policies.
  • Participate in financial aid workshops and events for prospective and admitted students to promote funding opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the essential functions of the position.

Non-Essential Functions Of The Position

Other duties as assigned. Duties must be performed on the John A. Logan College campus or designated location.

Salary: $40,000 - $45,000
