What We are Looking For

The Coordinator of Campus Visits, Student Engagement manages recruitment initiatives to attract a diverse and talented tour guide team, supports new student employees through onboarding and training processes, reviews student worker payroll and timekeeping records for accuracy, and implements engagement and retention strategies that foster a positive student employee experience. Through effective relationship building, program management, and operational oversight, this position contributes to the successful delivery of campus visit experiences and the overall effectiveness of the Campus Visits team. Additionally, this role is responsible for assisting in the seamless execution of key scholarship and recruitment events, ensuring each touch point contributes meaningfully to enrollment goals established by the Baylor Board of Regents.

A bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience are required. A master's degree and two years of relevant experience is preferred.

Additional education or experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

A validUS Driver License with a clear driving recordof at least two years is required.

Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas.

What You Will Do
  • Coordinate all student employment processes for campus tour guides, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and separation
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Student Employment Office and other campus partners regarding student employment procedures and compliance requirements
  • Process and track employment documentation, ensuring timely completion of hiring and onboarding requirements
  • Maintain accurate student employee records and personnel files in accordance with university policies and procedures
  • Monitor compliance with institutional, state, and federal employment regulations affecting student workers
  • Review and verify student worker timecards and payroll records for accuracy and completeness
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and collaborate with appropriate campus offices to ensure timely payment of student employees
  • Educate student employees and supervisors on payroll procedures, time reporting expectations, and employment policies
  • Generate reports and monitor student employee work hours to ensure compliance with institutional guidelines
  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified student tour guide candidates
  • Lead marketing and outreach efforts to promote tour guide employment opportunities across campus
  • Coordinate application, interview, selection, and hiring processes for prospective tour guides
  • Assess recruitment outcomes and utilize data to inform future hiring strategies
  • Develop and implement programs designed to enhance student tour guide engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Create recognition and appreciation initiatives that celebrate student employee contributions and achievements
  • Assist in planning professional development, team-building, and leadership opportunities for student tour guides
  • Conduct assessments, surveys, and feedback initiatives to identify opportunities for improving the student employee experience
  • Analyze retention trends and recommend strategies to strengthen employee satisfaction and long-term commitment
  • Assist in the planning and execution of high-profile recruitment events such as Invitation to Excellence, Premiere, Baylor Scholars Days, Baylor Bound Days
  • Offer additional support in BEAR management for some Baylor home football games, as our office assists with athletic recruitment compliance during recruit visits
  • Manage event credit requirements for all student tour guides
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of admissions processes and university programs to provide accurate and insightful guidance to prospective students and families
  • Oversee and audit inventory tracking for Campus Visits storage and materials
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
