Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County is seeking a program coordinator to advance the Continuing Education’s Maritime workforce and recreation program. The role involves planning maritime courses, coordinating training, and building partnerships with industry partners.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and maritime industry experience, with licenses or advanced degrees preferred. Travel between Catonsville and Dundalk campuses is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; business, logistics, maritime studies preferred.
• Captain’s license or Master’s degree preferred.
• Two years of experience in the Maritime industry, including developing, coordinating, and delivering training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate the College’s maritime courses and programs.
• Recommend and develop new courses and course series; conduct course assessments.
• Recruit, select, train, supervise and evaluate adjunct faculty.
• Provide customer service and solutions for agencies, students, and adjunct faculty.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders.
• Coordinate and maintain Coast Guard certification or related industry credentials.
• Identify and collaborate with industry partners.

Minimum Requirements

This position requires travel to and from the Catonsville andDundalk campuses.

Class Specific Essential Duties
