Introduction

Overview

Perform administrative processes that deliver medical, dental and other benefits to associates of business units supported by Ahold Delhaize USA Services LLC. Serve as a subject matter expert on non-union Benefits programs and related processes. Answer associate inquiries, including those directed from Associate Service Center and Brand Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP). Support audit and regulatory compliance activities.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.

Responsibilities

Process HR and Benefit Transactions:

  • Utilize internal and vendor systems to process complex transactions. Such transactions include but are not limited to benefit enrollment and termination, payroll deduction adjustments, claims submissions and vendor invoicing.
  • Analyze each transaction to ensure accuracy within business unit policy.
  • Provide oversight and support to the business unit as it relates to associate related transactions.
  • Utilize HRIS systems and reports to review critical HR related information to ensure data integrity by researching and recommending updates to associate records according to business unit policy and ACA Regulations.
  • Manage new vendor setup and process timely and accurate vendor payments as outlined in vendor contracts.

Respond to HR-Related Questions and Auditing:

  • Actively respond to Benefit-related questions from the business units and HR Business Partners. Questions include benefit eligibility and enrollment, program offerings, insurance claims, disability claims, etc.
  • Research, compile and provide data in response to Federal, state, local and other appropriate stakeholders to support necessary requests. Such requests include Medicare eligibility, National Medical Support Notices (NMSN) and miscellaneous legal inquiries.
  • Serve as primary contact for HR Business Partners and the business units on contractual and policy related questions, as needed to ensure accuracy.

Project and Ancillary Support:

  • Support implementation of various projects by performing systems user acceptance testing and partner with the HR Services management for updates and execution.
  • Provide support to HR department on various tasks and projects.
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent.
  • 2 years of HR or Payroll experience.
  • Associate degree in HR-related area preferred.
  • Analytical Skills.
  • Administration of Benefits.

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $23.58 - $35.37
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
