Base pay range
$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr
What we're looking for: We are seeking a talented individual who is eager to support the field of Radiology through excellent health and public policy work. Located in the Metro DC Area, this position is a hybrid role requiring some travel and offers opportunities for growth. The Coordinator: Government Relations will leverage knowledge of public policy and project management skills to actively research and track legislative developments and provide support for advocacy activities. The position will manage the department's communications by providing timely updates across various channels, including the RSNA Government Relations website.

What You'll Do
- Conduct research and analysis to include tracking federal legislation, regulations, and policy developments relevant to RSNA’s policy priorities; prepare summaries, memoranda, and reports for internal and external use.
- Provide support for advocacy activities undertaken by the RSNA Government Relations Committee including coordinating communication with congressional and federal agency offices and other partners; managing the development of letters, testimony, talking points, policy briefs, and other advocacy materials.
- Oversee periodic reporting of Government Relations activities by preparing content for email updates, newsletters, and social media posts for external and internal audiences and in coordination with the RSNA Public Information and Communications Department.
- Manage the Government Relations website content, ensuring timely updates.
- Attend and represent RSNA at federal agency advisory committee meetings, congressional briefings, and other advocacy related activities, both virtually and in-person in the Washington, DC region.
- Participate in meetings of the Government Relations Committee and other RSNA volunteer committees as relevant.
- Serve as a key staff liaison between to the RSNA Government Relations committee and its Subcommittees, providing operational and administrative support to meet the committee’s charge, including taking meeting minutes, scheduling committee meetings, and managing logistics for committee meetings.
- Provide administrative support for the Department of Government Relations, including scheduling team meetings, tracking project deadlines, taking notes, and managing internal reporting processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in health or public policy; science; political science; or related field preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- Interest and/or experience in federal health and/or science policy and/or nonprofit government relations.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
- Located in Metro DC Area with ability to travel within the area for meetings and events; ability to travel to RSNA headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois occasionally
