General Purpose of Position
The Coordinator for Prayerground Development will work to bring to life the Love of Children priority of developing multi-size use prayerground bundles and equipping congregations to strategically implement strategies and equipment to create spaces that enhance the communal life of worship and development of the formation of children’s faith. This role will carefully research existing models of ministry for inclusion of children, aged birth through twelve, in corporate worship as well best practices from additional sources that centers the wellbeing and development of children.
By the end of the grant cycle, we will have successfully created a manual for implementing prayergrounds across various size churches that carefully considers child development, the needs of neurodiverse children and the priority of creating lifelong faith filled learners in the church. In addition to the manual, bundles will be developed for purchase (through UCCR or other means) that will allow churches to find the materials that will best fit the needs of children in their midst. This is a part-time position, 15 hours/week. It is also a 16-month term position funded through December 31, 2027.

Location: Because this is a part-time term position, there is no requirement to relocate to Cleveland, Ohio.
