Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Utah County seeks a Coordinator Food Services to supervise and coordinate tray line, dish room, cafeteria and related activities under the Director of FNS.

The role requires food safety certification, hospital dietary experience, and strong supervisory and computer basics. You will contribute to policy development, staff training, and HR processes while supporting high-quality nutritional care.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certification required.
• Food service experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a hospital dietary office preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skill required.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and participate in tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and cleaning activities.
• Prepare assignment schedules for diet office personnel to maintain service levels.
• Inspect staff’s work for menu accuracy and records.
• Instruct personnel in equipment use for economical, timely care.
• Assist in developing policies, procedures, evaluations, and guidelines.
• Participate in setting department goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with management on HR duties including hiring, evaluation, promotion, and discipline.
• Coordinate in-service meetings for FNS staff.
• Maintain positive relations and promote excellent customer service.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will, under the Director of FNS, supervise, coordinate, and participate in tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and cleaning activities of the department.
• You will prepare assignment schedules for diet office personnel to maintain adequate service levels at all times to service areas.
• You will inspect subordinate staff’s work and determine if menu and other informational, record-keeping accuracy standards are met.
• You will introduce and instruct personnel in the use of equipment and processes to provide the most economical methods of providing timely quality nutritional care.
• You will assist in the development and implementation of policies/procedures, evaluations, and assessment guidelines.
• You will participate in the development of short and long-range goals and objectives for the department.
• You will work with department management in regards to Human Resource duties by giving suggestions and recommendations for things such a hiring, evaluation, promoting, and disciplining staff.
• You will coordinate in-service meetings for FNS staff.
• You will maintain a good working relationship with staff and model excellent positive customer relations, promoting positive, efficient customer relations from staff members.
