Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Coordinator – Equipment Logistics to manage inbound and outbound rental equipment for flawless event execution. This hands-on role requires meticulous processing, staging, and records accuracy across our reservations and readiness systems, with a focus on teamwork and clear communication.

Based in McCook, IL, the position supports the Equipment Logistics group on the Audio Visual & Event Technology team and requires in-office and show-site work five days per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in event production or warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Process returned equipment according to policies and procedures.
• Sort inbound equipment, including Sub-Rentals and Equipment Transfers.
• Identify, vet and enter lost and missing equipment.
• Prioritize work based on outbound needs.
• Pull, stage and scan outbound equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain records in required systems (i.e. R2).
• Communicate with Quality Control, Inventory Control and Transportation on order needs, changes and readiness.

Summary

The Coordinator – Equipment Logistics is responsible for the processing of inbound and outbound equipment for the purpose of flawless execution of events. This role will be directly responsible for the daily processing and staging of inbound and outbound rental equipment in accordance with procedure(s) to ensure integrity is maintained in our reservations and equipment readiness. This position requires teamwork, communication, and coordination skills. This position will support our Equipment Logistics group on the Audio Visual & Event Technology team. It is eligible to work an in person schedule, requiring work in-office and/or show-site 5 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of McCook, IL.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Process returned equipment in accordance to policies and procedures
• Sort inbound equipment, including Sub-Rentals and Equipment Transfers
• Identify, vet and enter lost and missing equipment
• Prioritize work based on outbound needs
• Pull, stage and scan outbound equipment in accordance to policies and procedures
• Maintain records in required systems (i.e. R2)
• Communicate with Quality Control, Inventory Control and Transportation on order needs, changes and readiness
• Escalate Missing or Damaged Equipment
• Escalate space constraints
• Perform scheduled cycle counts as assigned
• Support on-site additions in accordance to established policies and procedures
• Assist in Training/development of warehouse staff
• Ensure sound safety and risk policies and procedures through all areas of operation
• Promote teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations
• Assists other department heads as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Minimum 2 years of related experience within event production and/or warehouse operations
