Job summary

Barnes Group, East Hartford Operations, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) in East Hartford, CT. You will manage material flow and documentation with precision and data-driven decisions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in aerospace production, strong computer skills (Word, Excel), and experience with ERP systems such as Syteline 10. Forklift operations and close coordination with operations are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an aerospace production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to problem solve and make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to interpret travelers and work instructions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Syteline 10.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving of finished goods, semi-finished goods, raw material & details, consumable tooling, etc.
• Maintain and organize material storage areas on a daily basis.
• Coordinate with operations in moving parts/material, expediting job orders around the facility.
• Operate forklift or hand truck to move, convey or hoist materials, or product
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy. Reject damaged items, record shortages, and other conditions
• Access and maintain customer portals to manage shipping requirements, delivery updates, shipment confirmations, and related documentation.
• Order and maintain inventory of shipping supplies, including packaging materials, labels, containers, and related consumables.
• Verify packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements are met in accordance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
