Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking an HR Assistant to support recruiting, orientation, data entry, HRIS updates, and benefits administration.

This role requires confidentiality, knowledge of HR laws, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience or education in human resources law (FMLA, EEOC, ADA) and interviewing/hiring practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally with employees and managers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with HRIS systems is helpful.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist recruiting teams in talent acquisition process.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation process.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR department.
  • Data entry for new hires and employee changes.
  • Assist with HRIS updates and data scrubs.
  • Assist with payroll-related processes such as attendance and deductions.
  • Coordinate communications and scheduling within the team.
  • Support with I-9 documentation and E-Verify as needed.
  • Assist with unemployment questionnaires and other HR compliance tasks.
  • Maintain and translate HR documents as needed.

Job description

  • Assist recruiting teams in talent acquisition process.
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation process.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department.
  • Assist with data entry for new hires and employee changes.
  • Assis with HRIS updates as needed.
  • Assist with data scrubs.
  • Assist with MFG Bous Communication updates.
  • Assist with Perfect Attendance process.
  • Assist with sending Temp hours to agencies.
  • Assist with I-9 documentation and process E-Verify.
  • Assist with unemployment questionnaires from state unemployment agency.
  • Assist with medical support orders.
  • Assist with collecting and tracking dependent verifications, spousal surcharge and life event documents.
  • Assist with monthly surveillance reporting.
  • Translate documents/Stoughton Insights.
  • Update rehired employee deductions.
  • Assist with biometrics and open enrollment.
  • Work and communicate in a team environment – coordinating, communications, scheduling, etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required by the Company.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related area or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • List any other Certifications
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Experience in or formal education in human resources law, including FMLA, EEOC, ADA, the legal aspects of interviewing/hiring and general HR law.
    • The ability to remember names and circumstances, answer questions accurately, represent the company professionally, compose and edit letters, communicate with employees and managers. Experience in the administration of company policies and procedures.
    • Ability to keep confidentiality.
    • Good decision-making skills
    • Analytical skills for analyzing reports, statistics, and information.
    • Experience and/or education on any computer system is required (specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel would be helpful).
    • Knowledge of office equipment, including, but not limited to, fax, copier.
    • The ability to work independently or in a group setting.
