Job summary

Mt. Hood Meadows is seeking a Caretaker to help keep Cooper Spur safe, welcoming, and well-maintained. You will assist guests, perform property inspections, and respond to incidents, often during evenings, weekends, holidays, and winter weather.

Position Overview

Help keep Cooper Spur a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained mountain retreat! As a Caretaker, you’ll play an important role in protecting resort facilities, supporting guests, and ensuring a peaceful environment for team members and visitors. This year-round, part-time position offers the opportunity to work independently while helping maintain the comfort and security of our mountain community.

This role combines guest service, property inspections, and hands-on problem-solving. You’ll conduct nightly resort rounds, secure buildings and facilities, respond to guest calls and concerns, and help address emergencies or unexpected situations. You’ll also monitor resort property, document incidents, communicate with the leadership team, and help ensure resort rules and quiet hours are respected.

We’re looking for a dependable, resourceful, and level-headed individual with strong communication skills and sound judgment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, interacting with guests, and responding professionally to challenging situations—including evenings, weekends, holidays, and winter weather. Qualifications& Experience

• Minimum Age 18
• Must successfully pass a background check
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to be insured to operate company vehicles
• Excellent communication & guest service skills
• Independent, sound judgement, problem solving and resourcefulness
• Basic MS Office proficiency
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the leadership team

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• First Aid, CPR, and DPS certification
• Previous caretaking experience

Compensation:

• Starting Wage: $17.25 per hour
