Job summary

CT/HX, a Fidelity Building Services Group company, seeks a Cooling Tower Mechanic to join our field service team in Florida. You will assist with inspection, maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and installation of commercial and industrial cooling tower systems.

This role suits someone with a mechanical background who enjoys hands-on work and wants to develop specialized skills in cooling towers. Prior cooling tower experience is not required; related mechanical trades are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn specialized cooling tower equipment.
• Hands-on experience working with mechanical equipment, tools, or machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and learn new equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspection, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of commercial and industrial cooling towers.
• Perform mechanical repairs involving cooling tower fans, motors, gear drives, bearings, shafts, couplings, belts, and other rotating equipment.
• Assist with removal, installation, and replacement of mechanical components and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and general service work on cooling tower systems.
• Assist with cooling tower rebuilds, fill-media replacement, basin and distribution-system repairs, and other refurbishment projects.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and mechanical diagnostic tools safely and effectively.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
• Read and follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Follow all company, customer, OSHA, and job-site safety requirements.
• Work effectively with Lead Technicians, Project Managers, and other members of the field service team.
• Travel to customer locations and job sites as required.
