Job summary

Meadow Gold, a DFA farmer-owned brand, seeks a Cooler/Order Picker operator to support distribution of dairy products. You will work on receiving, storing and distributing tasks and operate a forklift in a cold 35–40°F environment. The role offers competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a union-backed system.

Starting pay begins at 22.35 per hour with raises to 23.66 and 24.44 over time, plus overtime. Weekend/weekday evening shifts are required, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have recent forklift experience.
• Must be able to pass a forklift certification test.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic with units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, storing and distributing tasks to assist in distribution of products.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently; support order picking and loading.

This position is responsible for performing any combination of receiving, storing and distributing tasks to assist in the distribution of our products. Cooler Operators are Order Pickers, Forklift Operators, and Case Washer Operators.

THESE POSITION STARTS AT $22.35 for first 6 months, $23.66 until May 1st, then $24.44 at one year wage is $27.16 PER HOUR, PLUS OVERTIME

Schedule is:

Sunday - 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM

Monday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Tuesday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Thursday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Friday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Requirements

• Must have recent forklift experience
• Must be able to pass a forklift certification test
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractionsand decimals
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs, frequently lift and/or move above shoulder height, stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to work in a cold, wet environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
