Job summary

Meadow Gold, a DFA dairy brand based in Boise, ID, seeks a Forklift Operator to assist in receiving, storing and distributing our dairy products. The role includes order picking, forklift operation and case washing within a 35–40°F environment.

Starting pay is $22.35/hour for six months, increasing to $23.66, then $24.44 at one year, with overtime possible and full benefits. Schedule and benefits are listed in the posting; candidates must pass pre-employment screenings and be able to lift up to

Qualifications

• Must have recent forklift experience.
• Must pass forklift certification test.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Physically able to lift 50–100 lbs and work in a 35–40°F environment.
• Be able to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, storing and distributing goods.
• Operate forklift, perform order picking and case washing as needed.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness while working in a cold environment.

This position is responsible for performing any combination of receiving, storing and distributing tasks to assist in the distribution of our products. Cooler Operators are Order Pickers, Forklift Operators, and Case Washer Operators.

THESE POSITION STARTS AT $22.35 for first 6 months, $23.66 until May 1st, then $24.44 at one year wage is $27.16 PER HOUR, PLUS OVERTIME

Schedule is:

Sunday - 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM

Monday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Tuesday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Thursday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Friday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Requirements

• Must have recent forklift experience
• Must be able to pass a forklift certification test
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractionsand decimals
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs, frequently lift and/or move above shoulder height, stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to work in a cold, wet environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
