Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a team member to manually stack boxes on pallets for outbound shipments. You will follow packing patterns and ensure labels and lot numbers are correctly oriented, while assisting with loading ice-packed poultry as required. The role requires adherence to safety policies and the ability to perform additional duties as assigned.

The position may involve night, weekend, and extended shifts, with emphasis on reliability and attention to detail in a cold work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern.
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside.
• Loads ice-packed poultry on trucks as needed.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Primarily responsible manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside
• Loads ice-packed poultry on trucks as needed
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Work around raw, live animal odors
