Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a warehouse associate to manually stack boxes on pallets and prepare shipments. You will follow product rotation, ensure labels face out, and keep the cooler organized. Under supervision, you will stage loads, adjust alignment, and assist with dock loading for first shift.

Responsibilities

• Stack and load boxes from production line on pallets following a specific pattern.
• Rotate product by date in the cooler to prevent aging.
• Check pallets, boxes and stretch wrap condition in the cooler before loading.
• Stage loads for shipping to enable quicker loading.
• Ensure product in the cooler is placed according to wall signs.
• Back trailers into the shipping dock and stage product for each trailer.

Job description

Primarily responsible manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

• Will be responsible for rotating product by date in the cooler to prevent old product in the cooler
• Check to make sure all pallets, boxes and stretch wrap is in good condition in the cooler before being loaded on trailers
• Stage loads for shipping to be able to load quicker
• Make sure all product in the cooler is in the correct place according to the signs on the wall
• Back trailers into shipping dock for 1stshift and have product setting on the dock for each trailer to be loaded

Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern

Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift 50 lbs

May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)

Work around raw, live animal odors
