Job summary

DFA/Kemps Dairy in Le Mars, IA is hiring warehouse operators to perform picking, pulling, building orders, palletizing, and loading/unloading at various stations. Work in cooler or freezer environments and operate material handling equipment.

This role offers night shifts starting 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM with weekends off alternating; 401(k), paid vacation, and opportunities for career growth. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stack/move cases up to 6-8 high.
• Must work in a 35–40°F environment.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform picking, pulling, and building orders; palletize products.
• Load, unload, and stage materials for outgoing deliveries; operate at any assigned station or line.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment in cooler, freezer, or dock environments.

Our DFA/Kemps Dairy has immediate job openings for fast paced and motivated warehouse operators to perform any combination of picking, pulling, and building orders, palletizing products, loading, unloading, and staging materials for outgoing delivery, and working any station or line that is assigned. Additionally, warehouse operators are responsible for safely operating various material and handling equipment and machinery within a warehouse, cooler, freezer or dock environment.

SCHEDULE: Start time 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM or finish Sun. - Fri, every Sat. off with another rotating day off during the week

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimal
• Effective verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be ableto lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
• Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
