Job summary

Bonney Staffing in Bangor, ME is hiring Cook 1 & Cook 2 on-site. Positions offer flexible FT and PT hours between 6am and 7:30pm with an ASAP start.

You'll assist in preparing and serving meals, supporting a welcoming dining experience and collaborating with the culinary team to feed the community. You will need basic knife skills, knowledge of food handling and sanitation, and Serve-Safe certification or willingness to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking methods.
• Serve-Safe Certification or willingness to obtain it within a reasonable time frame.
• Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment with confidence.
• Knowledge of proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Serving and maintaining food quantities for large groups
• Assisting with general cleaning tasks in the kitchen and dining areas
• Setting up, breaking down, and maintaining buffet and serving stations
• Supporting catered events and retail food operations
• Providing guidance and assistance to student employees
• Wearing a well-groomed, proper issued uniform and maintaining a professional appearance
• Restocking supplies as needed
• Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning duties
• Participating in training and departmental activities
• Performing any other duties as requested to ensure a smooth operation
