Job summary

Chip City in Central Valley, NY, is seeking friendly team members to craft hot and cold beverages, customize orders, and deliver warm, memorable guest experiences from the moment guests walk in.

You will operate the POS, keep the store clean and stocked, follow food safety standards, and communicate openly with managers to keep the bakery running smoothly. Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for customer service and guest experiences, grounded in professionalism and integrity.
• Strong communication skills — friendly, clear, and confident.
• Adheres to all food safety and sanitation procedures with care and consistency.
• Works quickly, efficiently, and kindly in a fast-paced environment.
• Holds a Food Protection Certification (or is willing to obtain one).
• Completes all training programs to Chip City standards.

• Process orders and payments quickly and accurately through the POS system — all while multitasking and maintaining a welcoming attitude.
• Keep service areas stocked, organized, and ready for action, even during the busiest rushes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the counter, kitchen, and storefront.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workspaces to meet all health and safety standards.
• Stock and organize supplies and retail products, keeping inventory accurate and fresh.
• Monitor equipment like ovens and freezers, and promptly report any issues.
• Communicate openly with managers and teammates to keep the store running smoothly.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand for extended periods and operate a cash register or related equipment
• Capable of moving throughout the bakery, stockroom, and office areas, and lifting up to 30 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Comfortable performing repetitive motions for extended periods
• Able to work in a warm, fast-paced environment around commercial ovens and baking equipment
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour + tips
