Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Part-time Cook for the Dining team in Lakeland, FL. The role involves preparing meals for residents, guests, and staff, following standardized recipes, and maintaining sanitary kitchen operations.

The position reports to the Director of Dining Services and the Executive Chef, with a mid-shift schedule (10:00 A.M.–7:00 P.M.) and 20–30 hours per week, requiring open availability Sunday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Florida SafeServe certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Setup work stations according to established guidelines.
• Prepare all food items in accordance with standardized recipes in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Distributes prepared food to all areas of service accurately and consistently in preparation and presentation. Restocks items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station by practicing good safety, sanitation and organization skills.
• Assist with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of the kitchen and equipment.

Job description

We are currently searching for a Cook to work in Dining. In this role, the Cook prepares quality food using quality ingredients for residents, guests and employees. This position reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and the Executive Chef.

Schedule

Part-time 20-30 hours per week, Open availability Sunday-Saturday.

Mid-shift: 10:00A.M.-7:00P.M.

This Position Is Responsible For

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Florida SafeServe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions
• Ability to perform basic math skills
