Job summary

The Arbor Company is seeking a Cook to join our dining team. You will prepare meals using established recipes and accommodate dietary modifications while ensuring quality and safety in a senior living environment.

Responsibilities include stock rotation, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with the Dining Director to ensure smooth service and resident satisfaction. Prior kitchen experience in a care setting is valued.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or training required or preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen basics, sanitation, food handling, portion control and cooking procedures.
• Experience with special diets and long-term care is helpful.
• Experience with large batch cooking (100+ servings) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals using established recipes and dietary modifications.
• Assist with stock deliveries, rotation of products and regulatory log requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards through cleaning schedules and protocols.
• Communicate with Dining Director about prep, production and service flow.
