Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time COOK SUPERVISOR at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, MD. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Previous cooking and food service experience is required. Perks include uniforms, safety shoes allowance, free shift meals, and gym access. Fixed pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Directly supervises food-service associates; ensures quality, safety and portion control; trains staff and manages shifts. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking and food service experience is required.
• Direct supervision of food-service associates.

Responsabilités

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations to minimize spoilage.
