Job summary

Compass Group USA's University of Maryland: Baltimore County campus is hiring immediately for full-time STEWARD positions. The role focuses on maintaining kitchen areas and equipment, ensuring clean, orderly workspaces and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards. Typical schedules run Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday, with hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Address: 1000 Hilltop Circle, Baltimore, MD 21250. Previous steward experience is preferred; willing to train.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Steward is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to ensure safety and sanitation compliance.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers and sanitizers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas, observing safe lifting.
• Assists with banquet table and front-of-house setup as requested.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
