Job Description for Cook at Texas Rangers Fan Clubhouse
Join the exciting environment of the 'ultimate fan clubhouse' for Rangers fans, a family-friendly dining and entertainment venue spanning two levels and 30,000 square feet. This role involves preparing and cooking food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring excellent service during all events and daily operations.
Cook Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Control food usage to minimize waste.
- Prepare and cook orders promptly during daily operations.
- Notify supervisors of low inventory; assist with receiving and inventory management.
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen to meet health regulations.
- Keep work areas organized and clean, including reach-ins, walk-ins, and counters.
- Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
- Assist with other kitchen duties such as dishwashing as needed.
- Promote teamwork and quality service, with occasional direct guest interaction.
- Perform multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience cooking in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Culinary certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to read and write effectively for recipe preparation and inventory monitoring.
- Mathematical skills including basic math and percentages.
- Food handler permit, alcohol awareness certification, or health/food safety card as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Stand and move safely within the kitchen environment.
- Handle food, utensils, and kitchen objects properly.
- Bend, stoop, and kneel as necessary.
