Pay Range

This range is provided by FREEDOM POINTE AT THE VILLAGES, LLC. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Sign On Bonus: $1000

About the Position

At Regency Oaks, you'll join a team passionate about working with seniors in an upscale environment, delivering resident-centered care, and providing high-quality hospitality through our Extraordinary Impressions program. We are recruiting for a Full Time Cook responsible for full-scope, hands-on production cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department, featuring various restaurant venues and an outstanding culinary program.

Responsibilities
  1. Organize all evening paperwork and post the next day's production schedule.
  2. Assist kitchen staff with daily assignments.
  3. Monitor labeling of all kitchen products.
  4. Participate in daily shift change walk-through.
  5. Ensure each plate meets presentation and quality standards and is properly portioned.
  6. Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
  7. Assist in creating, planning, costing, and executing menus, theme buffets, and holiday menus.
  8. Assist with food orders and related documentation.
  9. Support execution of catered and special functions.
  10. Supervise Utility Workers on cleaning projects.
  11. Report activities and operational issues to the Executive Chef with suggestions for improvements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Two to three years of restaurant or senior living cooking experience
  • Supervisory experience desirable
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
