Miss J's Cafe is hiring a Cook & Server to deliver friendly, efficient service by taking orders, processing payments, and keeping the dining area clean. You will greet customers, handle orders accurately, and assist with takeout packaging to ensure a smooth dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or diner setting.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
• Process customer orders and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions and balance at shift start/end.
• Enter orders into the system and relay details to kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized register area and dining space.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management during busy times.
• Inform customers of promotions and upsell desserts, drinks, or sides.
