Job summary

Miss J's Cafe is seeking a Cook & Server to deliver outstanding customer service by accurately processing orders, keeping a clean workspace, and supporting daily diner operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet guests, take orders, handle payments, assist with takeout packaging, and collaborate with the team to promote specials. Weekly pay and opportunities for growth are offered in a friendly, customer-first setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or diner setting.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
• Process orders and payments accurately.
• Enter orders into the system and relay details to kitchen.
• Resolve complaints professionally and courteously.
• Maintain clean cashier area and dining space.
• Stock napkins, condiments, utensils at register and dining areas.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff and management for smooth operations.
• Inform customers of promotions and upsell desserts, drinks, or sides.
