Job summary

Miss J's Cafe is seeking a Cook & Server to deliver outstanding customer service, accurately process orders, and help maintain a clean, organized dining area in a fast-paced diner.

You will greet guests, assist with menu choices, handle cash transactions, and communicate any special requests to the kitchen. This role supports the team during peak times and contributes to a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or diner setting.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and flexible with hours, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
• Answer inquiries and assist with menu choices, including recommendations.
• Process orders and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Enter orders into the system and relay details to kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized register area and dining space.
• Assist with packaging takeout orders and stock supplies at the register.
