Job Description

We are currently hiring Seasonal Cooks in Rehoboth Beach, DE at Chesapeake & Maine.

Creates world-class food to complement our world-class beers and spirits. Keeps food orders flowing in an efficient, sanitary, timely, and orderly manner with consistent appearance, quality, and taste. Helps to control food costs and waste through proper labeling, storing, and rotating of all food.

What You'll Brew:
  • Follow recipes to timely fill food orders with consistent taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Prepare and set up food for all stations according to par sheet specifications; provide feedback to kitchen management about the effectiveness of existing pars.
  • Support kitchen management's efforts to control food costs by proper rotating, storing, labeling, and preparing all food.
  • Maintain awareness of kitchen equipment, food levels, etc., and advise management of potential concerns or outages.
  • Foster positive working relationships and good communication within the kitchen team and with other restaurant teams.
  • Enforce and adhere to all safety regulations as required by the position and company's safety program.
  • Enforce and adhere to all sanitation initiatives as required by the position and company's sanitation program; ensure all checklists are completed within prescribed timeframes.
What Ingredients You'll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of culinary/kitchen experience (high-volume establishment preferred)
  • Working knowledge of executing recipes
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sometimes repeatedly
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods (up to 11 hours a day) on various surfaces
  • Proficiency with computer systems
  • Ability to handle kitchen and service equipment

Level: 10

In accordance with pay transparency laws, the pay rate for this role if hired is $17-$20 per hour, depending on experience, skillset, and location.
