Qualifications

  • The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and coursework or experience in quality food preparation, budgeting and purchasing.
  • Basic cooking knowledge and kitchen procedures.
  • Six months to two years of quality food service experience.
  • Valid New Hampshire driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to relate well to children and parents.
  • Ability to work without supervision and maintain records.

What You'll Do
  • Preparing nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks for assigned centers in accordance with approved menus and dietary requirements.
  • Managing food deliveries, adhering to budget guidelines, and maintaining kitchen supplies.
  • Shopping at grocery stores on an as-needed basis within budget constraints and collecting food from surplus delivery sites.
  • Maintaining kitchen cleanliness, adhering to health and safety regulations, and following proper food safety procedures.
  • Documenting food purchases, supplies, and menu production.
  • Ensuring timely completion of tasks and adhering to standards for cleanliness and organization.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Requirements

The candidate will have a minimum of high school diploma or GED, and coursework or experience in quality food preparation, budgeting and purchasing.

Knowledge of basic cooking and kitchen procedures. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Six months to two years quality food service experience.

Valid New Hampshire drivers license, current adequate car insurance, proof of car insurance, and reliable transportation.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and lift/carry/move heavy items up to 50 pounds.

Ability to relate well to children and parents.

Ability to work without supervision & maintain records and reports.
