The Nest Schools Inc. is seeking a dependable Childcare Cook in Columbus, OH to prepare nutritious meals for children and support classroom staff.

This role focuses on safe food handling, menu planning, and timely meal delivery within a warm school community. Ideal candidates have at least one year of relevant cooking experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to obtain a State Food Manager License.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in meals preparation for a school, daycare, restaurant, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and nutritional meal preparation.
• State Food Manager License or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 20 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children.

• Track food allergies and dietary restrictions carefully.

This is more than a kitchen position. As our Cook, you will help children build healthy habits by preparing nutritious meals and snacks in a safe, welcoming environment. Your work will support our classrooms, our teachers, and the families we serve each day.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children
• Plan and post menus that meet nutritional guidelines

What We’re Looking For
