Job summary

Acquire4Hire is seeking a full-year cook for a child care center in Seabrook, NH. The position offers a 35-hour work week across 41 weeks per year and focuses on nutritious meals and safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities include preparing breakfast, lunch and snacks, managing deliveries, budgeting, maintaining supplies, documenting purchases, and keeping the kitchen clean and compliant with health regulations.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and coursework or experience in quality food preparation, budgeting and purchasing.
• Basic cooking knowledge and kitchen procedures.
• Six months to two years of quality food service experience.
• Valid New Hampshire driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to relate well to children and parents.
• Ability to work without supervision and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Preparing nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks for assigned centers per menus and dietary needs.
• Managing food deliveries, adhering to budgets, and maintaining kitchen supplies.
• Shopping for groceries within budget and collecting surplus from delivery sites.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Documenting food purchases, supplies, and menu production.
• Ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
