Job Objective

Prepare and cook food products as specified by the Manager in Charge of the Shift, adhering to the specifications and procedures in the Church's Operating Standards Manual (OSM). Tasks should be accomplished in a timely, clean, and orderly manner.

Essential Job Functions

Primary Functions

• Set up the batter table, gather smallwares, and prepare batter mix.
• Ensure call sheets are complete, posted, and utilized.
• Check all equipment and report malfunctions immediately to the Manager in Charge.
• Balance fryer colors and add shortening to maintain proper levels.
• Filter and clean fryers at designated times following safety guidelines.
• Pans sufficient chicken for operational needs.
• Prepare and cook all food products as directed by the Manager in Charge.
• Ensure all food meets quality standards and specifications, including proper holding times.

Secondary Functions

• Maintain a clean work area following sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Verify stock levels and supplies at the batter area.
• Organize and keep the cooler clean.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager in Charge.

Physical Demands

Lifting requirements: Medium to Heavy (up to 50 pounds frequently, 75 pounds occasionally).

• Stand and walk continuously for up to 8 hours.
• Lift and stack 35-50 pounds regularly; carry up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Lift and carry trash bags and push/pull equipment frequently.
• Climb ladders or stools as needed.
• Stoop, squat, reach, handle a variety of items, and communicate effectively.
