A leading company in Twinsburg is seeking a part-time Cook to maintain kitchen standards and prepare meals for residents. Responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, and supervising staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience in food services, effective communication skills, and a ServSafe Certificate.
Cook-PT (Food Services)
Maintain the kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner. Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities, following prepared menus and portion control guides. Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures for meals. Prepare pureed foods and make food presentation appealing to residents. Work cooperatively with personnel in all departments and assist with serving meals. Clean cooking areas and serving carts, and maintain sanitizer solutions in buckets. Report resident care concerns and potential issues to the Administrator and/or Director of Nurses. Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff. Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed.
This job has supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
Requires standing and/or walking frequently, sitting occasionally, reaching with hands and arms frequently, pushing/pulling very frequently, talking and/or hearing very frequently, tasting and/or smelling very frequently, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must have good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus.
