Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a PRN Cook to prepare meals for patients, staff and visitors under the supervision of the Executive Chef. You will ensure foods are safe, appealing and prepared according to dietary guidelines, supporting a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include preparing and cooking meals, maintaining food safety, assisting with events, and serving on tray line as needed.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Permit OR ServSafe Certificate required within 30 days of hire.
• A minimum of one year cooking experience with quantities of 100 or greater.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Services Cook assists in the preparation of cooked foods for our patients, visitors and colleagues. Under direct supervision of the Executive Chef/Food Service Director, the Line Cook provides food that is safe, unadulterated, and attractive, that is prepared within the food safety guidelines. Hospital nutrition services ensure that all patients are fed according to their dietary needs and restrictions. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues.

What you will do in this role:
