Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Cook to support patient, visitor and staff meals. Under supervision, you will prepare, season and cook food that meets safety guidelines and dietary requirements.

You will uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation, assist with catering and events, and participate on the tray line, salad/sandwich and grill stations as needed.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s Permit OR ServSafe Certificate required within 30 days of hire.
• A minimum of one year cooking experience with quantities of 100 or greater.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Services Cook assists in the preparation of cooked foods for our patients, visitors and colleagues. Under direct supervision of the Executive Chef/Food Service Director, the Line Cook provides food that is safe, unadulterated, and attractive, that is prepared within the food safety guidelines. Hospital nutrition services ensure that all patients are fed according to their dietary needs and restrictions. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues.
