Job Summary and Qualifications

Prepares & serves all hot food items for breakfast & lunch (a.m. cook), evening meal (p.m. cook) for patients and cafeteria patrons. Maintains a high standard of food handling. Directs the activities of the dietary employees as directed by the Dietary Director. Performs specific cleaning assignments as written and/or assigned by the Dietary Director. Responsible for baking, special functions, and other duties as assigned by the Dietary Director.

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Must have the ability to read and write in the English language.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience in institutional food service preferred.
• Knowledge & use of standardized recipes, therapeutic diet preparation & supervisory skills preferred.
• Familiar with OSHA hazardous material standards.
