Job summary

Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a food service professional to prepare and serve meals for patients, staff and events. The role requires ensuring meals are flavorful, served at proper temperatures, and presented attractively in line with standards.

A clean, safe work area is essential and schedule flexibility is needed to cover weekdays and weekends. Applicants should have at least six months of quantity food preparation experience and a Food Handlers Certificate where required.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in quantity food preparation.
• Food Handlers Certificate (If required by Local City, County or State)
• Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.

Prepares and serves food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards.

Schedule:

This position requires flexibility to work a combination of weekdays and weekends. Candidates should have open availability to accommodate varying schedules.

Pay

Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Six months’ experience in quantity food preparation.
• Food Handlers Certificate (If required by Local City, County or State)

Desired Qualification:

• Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
