Job summary

Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a food service team member to prepare and serve meals for patients, staff, and special events. You will ensure meals taste good, are served at the correct temperature, and presented attractively, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in quantity food preparation.
• Food Handlers Certificate (If required by Local City, County or State)
• Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.

• Prepare and serve meals for patients, employees and events, ensuring taste, correct temperature and attractive presentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards.
• Support timely meal service within required timeframes.

Position Summary:

Prepares and serves food using proper food handling and food safety techniques for patients, employees and special events, resulting in foods that taste good, are served at the proper temperature, and in an attractive manner in accordance with established standards. Maintains a clean and safe working environment in accordance with established standards.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Six months’ experience in quantity food preparation.
• Food Handlers Certificate (If required by Local City, County or State)

Desired Qualification:

• Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
